The Cloud Pak for Security (CP4S) platform is a security platform that brings together a number of threat management security tools. With CP4S, enterprises have a one stop shop for their entire threat management workflow. The primary users of CP4S are security analysts, incident responders, threat hunters, and IT administrators. Under my leadership, the design team grew to 3 squads (15 designers) and delivered on several critical initiatives.

Key outcomes
Created a design team strategy and accompanying rhythms to support remote collaboration, increased visibility, and improved team health
Grew the team to 15 designers, structured into 3 squads focused around specific workstreams, in order to improve collaboration and efficiency
Trained 2 new design leads to effectively lead their design squads
Empowered my squads to deliver on several high-priority design initiatives, including a redesigned homepage and role-based access control
Partnered closely with product management, development, and architecture to foster alignment and healthy collaboration
Case study: Redesigned homepage
I led the CP4S Platform Services design squad in delivering a phased homepage experience framework and MVE design deliverables. The homepage needed to employ a flexible framework in order to showcase two new, strategic offerings that were being launched on CP4S. A major overhaul was needed to ensure that new users to the platform would have a great experience from their first login.
My contributions:
Owned design strategy & roadmap for this initiative, staying in constant sync with the 4IAB team and the design squad.
Ensured that all design deliverables were ready for development
Addressed ad hoc issues during development
Scoped and prioritized post-MVE design work appropriately
Oversaw the creation of custom homepage widgets
